Effective implementation of the world's largest free-trade deal - the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) - helped more than 300 import and export companies in Changzhou save about 53 million yuan on tariffs in 2022, according to Changzhou Customs.
Since the RCEP officially came into force on January 1, 2022, Changzhou Customs has issued 7,490 RCEP certificates of origin as of the end of the year.
In terms of imports, 260 million yuan worth of goods were imported into Changzhou under the RCEP, with tariff concessions exceeding 1.1 million yuan.
Four enterprises were appointed "approved exporters" – a term referring to a company that has been officially recognized by customs and can independently issue a declaration of origin.
